Biotherm is a French provider of high-end cosmetics and skin care products with a history dating back to 1950. Biochemist Jeannine Marissal, the founder of the brand, was inspired by the thermal springs in the South of France. She was the first person to use thermal plankton in effective skin care products designed to tackle all sorts of skin problems.

Biotherm managed to establish a solid product portfolio and a profound customer relationships which played a significant role when the company became part of the L'Oréal group, one of the global players in the cosmetics and skin care sector. With the help of L'Oréal and effective and easy-to-use products, Biotherm expanded into several European countries before setting foot on Asian markets.

Biotherm are always working on new products and develop powerful skin care products based on natural ingredients. Their product portfolio consists of make-up removers, cleansers, masks, exfoliators, serums, moisturizers for all skin types and ages, night treatment products, lip and eye care, shower gels, body lotions, hand creams, anti-cellulite treatment products, sun protection for face and body, men's skin care products (which were launched in 1985) and fragrant body sprays. Many famous faces, among them Elle MacPherson, Sasha Pivovarova or Tyson Ballou, have endorsed the brand's products.

The company believes that different skin problems require different solutions. Several collections that focus on oily, dry, dull or aging skins have been developed in order to provide every customer with products targeted to their individual needs.

Biotherm, so far known for their expertise in skin care, ventured into the world of fragrances in 1997. Their primary goal was to offer an effective body care spray that would nourish and hydrate the skin while awakening the senses with the help of scent. Their first fragrant offering, Eau Vitaminée, is composed of grapefruit, orange, jasmine, freesia and musk. Eau d'Energie, the follow-up on Eau Vitaminée, was presented in 2007. This floral-fruity body care spray features notes of mandarin, orange, citrus nuances, apricot, jasmine, cyclamen, cedar and musk. This fragrant body spray was made to make the wearer feel full of energy while hydrating the skin.

2008 saw the launch of Eau Pure, a refreshing and caring body spray, composed by Nathalie Lorson of fresh citrus notes, kiwi, rhubarb and aromatic accords. Biotherm Homme Force, the brand's first body spray for men, and Eau de Paradis, another fragrant skin care spray for women, hit the shelves in 2010. L'Eau by Vanessa Bruno, a collaboration between Biotherm and the French fashion designer, was presented in 2011.
